Sunday 28 of October there was an show of Military Vehicles and figures in Eindhoven, wish I had visited. In this short review I'll try to show you what there was. Who knows, maybe next year while you visiting the Netherlands, you will visiting the scale model show. Theme of the year 2008: "Russian Armies".

Competition
Gino and me arrived there just at the end of registration to the competition, about 12:30. After the registration we went or own way. Gino went to his club and I took a look at the new model books and magazines. First of all I saw the book "The Belgian School". And after taking a look, I interested a lot. The book contains a lot good pictures of models of famous Flemish masters.

Demonstration: Robert Doepp

On these picture from left to right: Marijn Van Gils, Mario Eens, Robert Doepp, Per Olav Lund, Stefan Muller Herdemertens(?).
First demonstration where Robert Dopp explained how we can make scratches on german WW2 AFV models. He used oil paint because it is the best paint to make the little scratches. The paint isn't dry to fast.
I have seen this demonstration completely.

Through the dark camouflage the light camouflage must appear.
1) On the dark camouflage we make scratches brighter than the light camouflage. Compulsorily necessary to make how large a scratches which penetrate both camouflages.
2) German tanks were grounded by red priming. Therefore we make above and on the edge of bright scratches small scratches of red colours.
3) After that we make bare metal effect with dark brown tones, on the angles and in the middle of large scratches.
4) On the old scratches it is possible to make the flowing rust.

After the demonstration...
Jury
After the demonstration I want to see the models on cometitoin. But the entrance was closed for the public becouse of jury.

It was necessary for me to resemble on the different stands and buy something. On such exhibitions very many salesmen from the different countries such as England, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium. And prices are also different. If we look, then it is possible to find necessary to you models or accessories cheaper and save well money. In essence the large German stores have high prices, and small salesmen acceptable.

Demonstration: Per Olav Lund
Needed materials for use.
After looking at competition models, I go to see the demonstration of Per Olav Lunf from Norway.
Here he explained how we can map shipped wood.
Paint the plastic or wood strips with dark brown colours. The layer must be completely dry.
After we use White Spirit to make the strips wet. We use a lot of White Spirit. We don't have to wait for drying.
After we use acrylics paint to do over White Spirit. We use cotton-tiges before it dry.
Now we can make ships wit an toot stick for example.

 Ready.

After the demonstration...
After the demonstration of Per Olav Lund I went to see the demonstration of Jaume Ortiz. But I didn't made some pictures in progress. Because it's very difficult to explain how to paint faces, even with photographs.

After that I ask for an picture with Marijn and Gino, and allso with Jaume Ortiz.
